4th Of July Bike and Boat Parade
We will kick off the festivities at 1:00 pm with the Bike Parade at Lynwood Loop. All bikes, trikes, wagons, strollers and any other non-motorized mode of transportation are welcome! We will be awarding prizes for the best decorated, and there will also be a treat for participation. We have some great prizes, so get out your construction paper, streamers, flags, balloons and anything else you can think of to create your masterpiece and roll on down to the loop for a 1:00 pm parade and judging! Everyone is welcome. If you aren't participating in the parade, come on down and cheer on your favorite!
There will be three age groups for the bike parade: 4-8, 9-13 and 14 and up. There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age group.
The Boat Parade will begin at 4:00 pm and the prizes for the winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd) of the boat parade will be Amazon Gift Cards.
There will be a potluck following the boat parade at the swim area.

LYNCO BBQ Fundraiser
Our annual LYNCO BBQ fundraiser will be Saturday, September 9, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us for some of the best BBQ in the area! Dinner will consist of chopped BBQ, hush puppies, mac-n-cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, peach cobbler and sweet tea. Members are asked to bring additional desserts for everyone to share. Tickets for the event will be $18.00 for adults, $15 for adults 65+ (delivery will be available) and kids under 12 will be $15.00. The event will be held rain or shine.
Getting your tickets is easy! Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling or texting Jim Levine (980)213-9360 or Sherry Lowes (336)587-3067, by responding to this email or messaging us on our Facebook page. Didn't purchase a ticket, but find yourself wishing you had? No worries, tickets will also be available the day of the BBQ. We will be accepting debit/credit cards, Venmo, PayPal and any checks should be made out to LYNCO. Told you it was easy.
Bring your family, bring your friends and/or come make some new ones, and support your LYNCO volunteer board as we continue to strive to keep Lynwood Lakes a beautiful place to live and one of the best kept secrets in Guilford County!
